Juices and Childhood Obesity
Unlimited fruit juice consumption may be a significant contributor to childhood obesity. A recent study found that overweight children consume 65% more juice. While juice may be a source of some vitamins, it is also a very highly concentrated source of sugar. Fruit-flavored drinks (with little or no real juice) can be even worse. Parents may need to limit how much their children drink. Moderation is the key.
